It was a beautiful gathering of individuals both teachers and students, coming together to embrace the earth, renew their souls, and express themselves through art, sensory awareness, Qigong, and nature. This event inspired me to come up with this simple list of 5 ways one can deepen their connection to nature. 1. Wake up early to watch the sunrise. Inner-Connection: Journey Into The Soul Of Nature Scholarship Award Winner We are pleased to announce our scholarship award winner for the upcoming November retreat Inner-Connection: Journey into the Soul of Nature, held at La Duna Centro Ecológico November 2-6, 2016.  Luis Tentindo is an interdisciplinary artist and arts educator focusing on the crossovers between movement, puppetry and visual art. From 1994 to 2008 he danced in several renowned NYC-based contemporary dance companies. Luis has participated in residencies at Bogliasco, The MacDowell Colony, and Djerassi. His original puppet-theater work was presented at St. Ann’s Warehouse, The Theater for the New City and Dixon Place in NYC, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara. He also presented performances at Skirball Cultural Center, Fowler Ethnographic Museum, and at XFest! (SIUE).
