BAJA BOTANICAL JOURNEY
Enjoy traveling with experienced plant experts, from the arid tropical forests, to the oak pine mountains of the Southeastern region of the Baja Peninsula in North West Mexico. These diverse ecosystems are home to many rare plants and unique cactus, as many as 88 endemic varieties. Enjoy waterfall pools & hot springs on the way, deserted beaches, and conservation projects, under star full nights, comfortable tents, and limited private room accommodations. Great gourmet food too!

$750 dollars per person from Nov 2-6 and  $350 additional for optional  hiking extension Nov 6-9
A $200 deposit reserves your space. Full amount due by October 2, 2011. Deposits and balances may be paid via check or PayPal  (+5% for Paypal transactions) in US dollars .
Price includes all land transportation, lodging, food, guides and nature reserve fees. It does not include gratuities, airline tickets nor travel insurance.

 
 















PLANT EXPERTS:
Ben Kamm – Director of Botanical Preservation Corps and Sacred Succulents nursery and seed bank. Ethnobotanical researcher and student of the herbalist traditions of the world. A conservation horticulturalist working with ecologically innovative methods of propagation and seed germination of rare beneficial plants. Ben is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of traditional and contemporary plant knowledge as well as the plants themselves.
Dennis Sharmahd  - Edible Landscaper, Herbalist, Mycologist  Has been camping & exploring Baja since he was a child. Grows rare and edible cactus fruits on his farm in Escondido. He has been teaching about wild edible & medicinal plants for almost 30 years.
